🏰 Welcome to Creative Foundations! 🏠 *SPECIAL NOTE: ALL SECTIONS WILL END MID-DECEMBER OF 2024. Creative Foundations will start again mid-January (TUESDAYS 7PM EST). In this 40-minute creative journey, budding architects will explore the exciting world of architecture. With just a pencil, ruler, and paper, young artists will unleash their imagination and design unique structures. This is a weekly recurring class. The content does not build. Join anytime, stay as long as you like. 🌟 Class Highlights: Diverse Structures: Design a variety of structures, including skyscrapers, treehouse, bridge, cabin, lighthouse, castle, dog park, farmhouse, and an overhead view of a putt-putt golf course. This class covers exterior views for some places, and interior views of others. Personalized Guidance: Step-by-step instructions are given to ensure learners grasp the fundamentals of drawing basic shapes and forms. We also have fun adding three-dimensional elements to our sketches. We occasionally use vanishing points (one-point Perspective). Interactive Discussions: Engage in lively discussions about the characteristics that make each structure unique. Explore questions like who resides there, materials used, the surroundings, and special features. Think like an architect as you add to your design! Inventive Freedom: Learners are encouraged to infuse their creations with personal touches in each drawing. Does the bridge cross over land or water? Is there a pathway leading to your cabin? Does your structure have solar panels? What types of plants grow in your greenhouse? Is your shop wheelchair accessible? The possibilities are endless! 👉 Additional Information: Materials: pencil, ruler, and paper. Age Range: This class is designed for learners ages 8-11. Age exceptions considered based on the learner's ability level. Please send me a message if you have any questions. For learners that are 11 years old, you may also want to look at the Architecture Drawing Club, it's more advanced and might be a better fit if your young artist has had drawing classes before. 🔄Classes currently loop every 6 months. Learners are welcome to repeat classes. Learners are not automatically withdrawn after 6 months. If you don't want your learner to repeat a class, please withdraw them before the lesson repeats. Please let me know if you have any questions. *This will change in 2025: Sections will then run for 6 months at a time and then come to an end. ⏰ Punctuality Matters: The class starts promptly, and being on time is important to fully engage in the drawing process. Latecomers or absent students may watch the playback recording. I will open the classroom one minute before the class start time. **Please note that pausing a learner's subscription does not save their spot in the class. As I maintain a class size limit of 6 for this class, I cannot hold spots or guarantee when one will become available again. All class enrollments are on a first come, first serve basis. Thank you for your understanding.
