Learners that are in this class for several weeks are welcome to create a portfolio of their artworks. I suggest a binder with clear plastic sleeves to slide the work into. It's rewarding to see the progress made as learners develop new skills and become confident artists.Class Experience

🎨Small Group, Big Creativity—Explore Art Like Never Before!🌟 Dive into the exciting world of watercolor and mixed media in this small-group class where we create a beautiful masterpiece every week. This class is excellent for homeschoolers and after-school learners. Create with confidence! Join anytime. ➡️What to Expect: 🖌️ Step-by-Step Guidance: Each session begins with an easy-to-follow, step-by-step drawing. Regular check-ins ensure everyone is on track, and learners are encouraged to ask questions. This is an interactive and supportive environment. 🎨 Thinking Like an Artist: We discuss the principles of design and elements of art. Learners are guided to "think like an artist" as they create beautiful artworks. 🔹 Color Theory Exploration: Learners are introduced to color theory as they blend colors together. We discuss a variety of color relationships: primary, secondary, related, complementary, warm, and cool. 👩🎨 Demonstrations and Discussions: We provide demonstrations using various art materials. Class discussions are focused on fun facts related to the weekly subject matter. To keep learners engaged, we are mindful to keep a consistent pace throughout the class. We are always happy to repeat a step if a learner falls behind. 🌈 Artistic Confidence Building: Our goal is to nurture your young artist's confidence in exploring various art mediums and discovering their unique style. Creative decisions are encouraged. Learners are given opportunities to share their ideas and showcase their beautiful artworks to the class. Ms. Amy or Ms. Ella may prompt learners with questions: What was your favorite part about your painting?, What was the most challenging part of your painting?, How did you create that color?, What is the focal point?, etc. 🎨 Art Supply List: watercolor paper, pencil, Sharpie marker, crayons, markers, watercolor paints, cup of water, paintbrushes, paper towel. We will do our best to work with what you have. 🔄 Ongoing Exploration: The class is designed to be ongoing. Learners can take one class or many- the classes do not build. Class sections will not exceed 6 learners. No exceptions. ⏰ Punctuality Matters: Please have materials ready at the start of the class start time. Latecomers may review the class playback video to catch up on missed demonstrations. Only verified learners are able to access the class recording. ⏸️ Pausing a subscription: Please note that pausing does NOT save a spot in the class. If you don't want to risk losing your learner's spot in the class, we recommend staying subscribed and watching the class playback for the class your learner missed. The playback is available for 'verified' learners only. All class recordings are automatically posted in the classroom shortly after the class takes place. 🌟 Benefits of Mixed Media Art: 🔸 Experimentation with various art mediums encourages creative risk-taking. 🔸 Mixing art mediums enhances decision-making skills and self-confidence. 🔸 Fosters the development of a unique individual artistic style. 🔸 Provides a platform for self-expression through a variety of art mediums. 🔸 Sparks inventive thinking extending beyond the art classroom. 🎨 Join us this week to witness your young artist's creativity flourish! Feel free to send a message if you have any questions or need further clarification. 🌟 WEEKLY THEMES: *2025* ***March 13th-March 19th: NO CLASSES/Organization account onboarding- MS.
