Beginner Level
You’re invited to bring your craft supplies and create fun projects. We will explore an exciting theme each week! Here's a look at our routine: 1. Show & Tell: Bring something special to share with your class friends. (3 minutes). 2. Project Reveal: Check our supplies and see a sample of our project. Gather ideas from our class friends on how you will make your own craft unique! (2 minutes). 3. Craft Time: Follow along step by step as week create our special art project. *See note below, please. (20 minutes). 4. Make it Special: Add your own ideas and special finishing touches. We may play a song or game for 2-3 minutes as needed to give everyone time to put those final embellishments on their art. Imagination and creativity are highly encouraged. (2-3 minutes). 5. Sharing: Take turns sharing your wonderful creation and say goodbyes. (2 minutes). Notes: * I use a second camera to model making shapes and designs so everyone can follow along with a close up look. * Parents may quietly assist off camera as needed. These projects will be simple and straight forward, but some younger learners may want a little help. Please take a moment to review the project list below, as well as the parental guidance section of this listing. * Supplies will be simple and easy, and posted each week several days before class. Feel free to make any substitutions you would like to make. *Drop-ins and enrolled siblings are always welcome to join in the fun. Weekly theme schedule is posted below. Teacher expertise and credentials
Texas Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
I am so excited for the opportunity to bring creative, energetic and meaningful lessons to the learners on Outschool. I am a certified school teacher, and I have classroom experience in both public and private schools. Currently, I work exclusively teaching online while homeschooling my own children. As a homeschooling family, we love to spend time together traveling when possible, and enjoying the great outdoors at our country home with our animals.
The classes I offer are full of fun activities that engage the students while they are learning. I love teaching with a theme that captivates the interests of learners. All of the classes that I offer are designed for learners in the 3-7 years old age range. My specialties include circle time, playdough playtime, alphabet mini classes and beginning level language arts.
It is my goal to give every student time to shine in all of my classes. Everyone has the opportunity to contribute to the lesson. This helps build important social skills, make friends and also feel important, valued and special. I look forward to seeing you soon in one of my very fun, interactive child-friendly classes soon!
