Learning Through Space-Numbers I (From 1 To 10)
Class experience
US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Space-loving learners will enjoy this entry-level and/or preschool-level, English Language class, as we will fly throughout the known universe learning how to tell “How many?” as we count a variety of objects in space. We will learn the numbers one through ten (1-10), as we soar throughout the cosmos. This small, English class is perfect for both Preschool-age learners, as well as English Language Learners, as we focus on learning how to count and identify numbers. *No previous knowledge or...
Students will be introduced to the Numbers & Number Words: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and ten. Learners will count a variety of space objects, using numbers One to Ten.
I have always had a love of space, from the moment my grandpa, an amateur astronomer, let me look through the 10-foot telescope he built all by himself, to watching shuttles & satellites lift into the sky, and watching some fall back to the earth. I have spotted some of the largest dust storms to hit Mars, and have enjoyed looking at the craters on our Moon and seeing the rings around Saturn, all from my own backyard in Missouri & while using other telescopes my grandpa and I built together! I have never ceased my exploration and search, looking to the skies to watch for eclipses, comets, and so much more! My love of all things Space has only increased with time, and I feel it is the next great wave of the future! As a teacher with a Master’s Degree in Teaching & over 30 years of experience working with children of various ages, more than 7 years teaching English to English Language Learners, and more than 6 years teaching students about Space as an amateur astronomer, as well as other Science-related subject-matter, I love sharing my knowledge with the next generation. My hope is to instill the awe-inspiring beauty the Unknown Universe holds, as well as encourage students to dream and believe! I hope to see you in class as we explore and learn together in this Space-themed class!

Videos: *YouTube Videos shown during class, as time allows and/or as needed to help learners visualize the subject matter, will be shorter clips of longer videos.
