Python is a great language to pick and is much in demand. It uses open libraries and is easy to learn and get started on text based coding. This class is for those who have completed Level 1 in Python. We delve deeper into topics and create a final project in the end using that knowledge. ***** Device: Laptop / PC / Chromebook , you would need a keyboard ****** This class does not work on Ipads/ Tablets. Day 1 and 2 : Revisiting the basics - a quick check on leaner's current coding skills Tasks on creating different lists and sets Day 3 and 4 : Classes and Objects - using init function , modifying and deleting object properties. Day 5 : Inheritance Day 6: Iterators Day 7 : Scope Day 8: Python Dates Day 9: Python Math Day 10 :Revision of all concepts Day 11 and Day 12 : Final Project creation and debugging This is an interactive class where apart from coding alongside with the teacher, students will be asked to apply logical thinking and create a sample code for the output asked and share it with the teacher. Recordings are put in the classroom if a learner misses a session , they can follow it. For this class we will be using an online editor so learners do not have to install python. However if they already have it installed then the teacher will teach on that. In order to avoid installation of python and making it simple to use for all devices (including chromebooks), we would suggest parents to guide learners on creating a replit account. Just for parents information : Replit is compliant with FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, CCPA, UK Data Protection Act of 2018, and many other privacy regulations. For learners younger than 13 years , we suggest you install python using instructions in the classroom as Outschool does not allow online editor for young learners.
