Description
Class Experience
Using my guided drawing method, I will teach students to apply basic drawing strategies, such as using different types of lines and shapes, for drawing winged creatures from Mythology. Session 1: We will discuss the mythology behind the phoenix, and the shapes and colors that make it unique. We will draw, outline and color a beautiful phoenix! Session 2: We will discuss the features of an eagle and a lion, and how they are combined to create this creature. We will draw, outline, and color...
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
Homework might include researching the mythical creatures, google image searches, and working on/finishing projects.
Students will need (for all drawings): Lots of paper (for praticing as well as final drawings) Pencil, eraser, sharpener Ultra Fine Sharpie or similar fine line permanent black marker Choice of colored pencils, crayons, markers, or watercolor paint, or any combination (I will be using colored pencils).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
