This class is a fun way to introduce your little learner to science in a creative, hands-on way! The class will start off with a candy show and tell; this is an opportunity for the students to interact and get comfortable speaking on camera. Then, we will conduct some “sink or float” experiments to illustrate the concept of buoyancy and testing predictions. Next, we will conduct two fun and colorful experiments with M&Ms and Skittles. At the conclusion of class we will discuss what we learned and engage in some fun color mixing!

Supply List
A collection of leftover candy. A variety is encouraged, but students will need a few M&Ms and fun pack of Skittles for two of the experiments. 2-4 cups Warm water White plate Optional: clear tub of water for density trials (will also be conducted as a demo)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
