Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 4

Beginner Level

In this fun and interactive ongoing course, we will explore a new topic in life science each week.

Each class will begin with an explanation of the theme, and learners will get a chance to share what they already know.  Through photos, videos, games, and diagrams we will explore the topic in greater depth.  Some weeks will include a short experiment to engage children in the scientific method. Young scientists will learn the basics of biology, while applying the skills of a scientist, such as observation, classification, and experimentation.

Miss Leigh has over 12 years of experience as a science and STEM teacher.  She holds her masters degree in biology from Georgian Court University.

Handouts and supplies will be posted in the classroom.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Adult supervision needed during experiments.

Worksheets and materials are created by and provided by teacher.
