Learn How To Draw & Color Cute Cartoon Weather Characters
Class experience
Learners have fun with Rozine's curriculum which includes seasonal pop art, cartooning, and graphic design. During each session, students draw 2-6 Kawaii-inspired weather characters of their choosing. This class can be taking multiple times, as each session provides opportunity to draw new weather. Research shows there is a significant connection between arts and achievement. Drawing and coloring develops many talents, such as: • fine motor skills • spatial reasoning • objectivity • visualization • self-discipline • creative problem-solving
Since 2005, Rozine taught cartooning classes to elementary-aged, inner-city children in Chicago and Los Angeles. She is the illustrator, author, and publisher of several all-age coloring activity books. She creates a relaxing atmosphere, encouraging connection amongst others, as well as confident self-expression.
Students will need either a sketchpad, or 5-10 sheets of drawing or printer paper. Pencils and erasers are a must. Coloring utensils can be crayons, colored pencils, and/or markers. A Sharpie marker is optional. Students can frame their artwork by stapling or taping it to a larger sheet of colored construction paper (also optional).
