Class Experience

Beginner Level
During this course, students will explore various drawing and coloring techniques using pencils, crayons, Sharpies, and colored markers. Rozine's curriculum offers engaging activities such as seasonal pop art, cartooning, and graphic design. Additionally, students can accessorize their creations during holiday-themed sessions.

The focus of this drawing class centers on cats and kittens. Rozine guides students through each step, starting with drawing large, basic geometric shapes using pencils. Once the outlines are lightly sketched, students proceed to add details before coloring their artwork.

In this session, students will create both a tiger-striped shorthair cat and a fluffy, long-haired kitten, selecting one to fully color. For those unable to finish during class, completion is encouraged afterward.

Rozine will instruct on shading and texturing techniques using crayons, colored pencils, and markers. Students are encouraged to use their preferred coloring tools; however, painting will not be covered in this session.

Upon parental approval, students finalize their artwork by outlining with Sharpie markers.

The course fosters a creative environment where students are encouraged to develop their imagination and artistic expression.

Research underscores the significant correlation between participation in the arts and academic achievement.
