Learn How to Draw Optical Illusions W/ Cones, Squares, Holes, and Spheres
Class Experience
Learners have fun with Rozine's curriculum which includes seasonal pop art, cartooning, and graphic design. During each session, students learn to create an optical illusion of three-dimensional spheres. Rozine guides students step-by-step, drawing straight and curved lines with pencil. She then shows students which parts to color black and those that need to stay white. She then demonstrates how to shade grey on specific white areas, and white on the black, in order to deceive the eye....

Assessment
Frequency: available upon requestDetails: Students are encouraged to share their work with Rozine and other learners, by holding their artwork up to the camera. Praise and recognition is awarded, regardless of skill level. Rozine stresses the importance of each artist liking their own work—and if they see something they don't like, she motivates them to find the solution to fix the problem. Suggested fixes are offered if the student struggles.
Artist will need: - paper (can be printer paper or sketch or scratch) - pencil w/ eraser - straight edge or ruler - compass or other round object(s) to trace - Sharpie or black marker(s) - black colored pencil (optional) - white colored pencil (if no white is available, any lightest toned pencil will work) The above supplies are suggestions. Many times, the best art comes from students doing the best they can with the (unconventional) resources they have available. Students can frame their artwork by stapling or taping it to a larger sheet of colored construction paper (also optional).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
