During this course, students draw several different science fiction inspired characters and environments. Children have fun with Rozine's curriculum which includes seasonal pop art, cartooning, and graphic design. Rozine will guide students step by step, stacking basic geometric shapes with pencil until the shapes of each character and scene are established. Let's draw a pirate ship scene in the ocean near a deserted island.Week 3Lesson 3Robots + SpaceTogether we'll invent a robot and an environment from outer space.Week 4Lesson 4Medieval CastlesStone by stone, brick by brick, we will intricately design a castle with filled with tiny details.

Since 2005, Rozine taught cartooning classes to elementary-aged, inner-city children in Chicago and Los Angeles. She is the illustrator, author, and publisher of several all-age coloring activity books. She creates a relaxing atmosphere, encouraging connection amongst others, as well as confident self-expression.

Frequency: Available upon requestDetails: Students are encouraged to share their work with Rozine and other learners, by holding their artwork up to the camera often and intermittently. Praise and recognition is awarded, regardless of skill level. Rozine stresses the importance of each artist liking their own work—and if they see something they don't like, she motivates them to find the solution to fix the problem. Suggested fixes are offered if the student struggles.
REQUIRED: - paper or sketchpad - pencil with sharpener - good eraser OPTIONAL: - colored pencils - markers - ink pens - Sharpie - digital drawing software and device
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
While Rozine will always do her best to discourage themes or scenes of violence or fear, she will ultimate foster every artist's unique expression through art.
