Students will need to access to print the ladybug worksheet as well as playdough.

Hello! My name is Lacy. However, I go by Teacher Lacy majority of the time when I’m not being called mama. I am eager to share my love of learning with your children. We will learn to be excited and passionate about reading, writing, math and science. I will give students opportunities to improve their reading skills through phonics, sight words, read aloud, guided reading and writing. We will also explore math and science by using hands on experiments as well as using music and movement. I have been working with young children and youth since I was in high school. I have had the privilege to work as a YMCA summer camp counselor, VBS director, tutor, ESL online teacher and brick and mortar teacher over the last 14 years. I have 7 years of experience as a second grade teacher. My background is in education with a bachelor’s of science degree in elementary education K-6. I am a compassionate, fun, energetic teacher who is capable of matching the student’s energy level as well as adapting my teaching style to meet the needs of my students. I will give them support and positive feedback to help them gain the confidence they need to become independent learners. I want my students to have fun and feel confident while learning new skills. I am a mama of 3 ranging from 3 months to 5 years old. A few of my hobbies include ballroom dancing, baking, swimming, reading and taking pictures of my children and nature. My favorite type of dinner food is pasta and tacos, while my favorite dessert is milk chocolate cake, cheesecake and chocolate chip cookies. I look forward to meeting your children in the classroom! Hope to see you soon!
