Students should also know how to add numbers up to a thousand. Students who know the names and values of the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half-dollar as well as how to add numbers up to a thousand could do well in this class. Let's have fun and be introduced to counting money using coins since this is a life skill.

Hello everyone! Welcome to Outschool!
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you! I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too. I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online. When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person. My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups. I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License. I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also. My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways. I love to have fun while learning! When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.
