Description

Class Experience

Students will practice reading, pronunciation, and understanding the lyrics enough to be able to show their meaning through pops and acting. This is a good class for ESL students, also.
As an ESL and English teacher, I have successfully used karaoke to engage my students. I noticed in my other Outschool classes that the students really like to sing to songs. I think they will enjoy meeting as a group with classmates and sharing this experience together.
Prepare by singing your song ahead of class.
The teacher will share a table that will be used for scoring.
A scoring system has been developed by the teacher and results will be shared in a document sent to students after class.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Parents, make sure your child chooses a song with school-appropriate language. Swears and graphic lyrics are not encouraged.
