Students will learn by watching videos, discussing with classmates, and practicing with online manipulatives. Topics include : 1.) A review of simple fractions 2.) What is a mixed number? 3.) What is an improper fraction? 4.) Identifying improper fractions with visuals 5.) Identifying mixed numbers with visuals 6.) Games for extra practice Class time is structured following a powerpoint as follows: 5 minute introduction 5 minute fraction review 5 minute introduction video 10 minute discussion 10 minute practice 5 minute worksheet review 5 minute game, extra song video
