Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 11
This class offers supplemental instruction and support to students working through Art of Problem Solving: Introduction to Geometry. There will be two meeting per week. Each student should have read the listed sections of the textbook and attempted the problems and exercises in those section prior to each class meeting and be prepared to ask questions about the material. The following content will be covered:
For the class starting on during the week of 10/25
Week of 10/15: Day 1 - What's in a Name? (sections 1.1-1.3)
                          Day 2 - What's in a Name? (sections 1.4-1.6)
Week of 10/22: Day 1 - Angles (sections 2.1-2.3)
                           Day 2 - Angles (sections 2.4-2.6)
Week of 10/29: Day 1 - Angles (sections 2.7-2.8)
                           Day 2 - Congruent Triangles (sections 3.1-3.3)
Week of 11/5: Day 1 - Congruent Triangles (sections 3.4-3.6)
                        Day 2 - Congruent Triangles (sections 3.7-3.8)
Week of 11/12: Day 1 - Perimeter (sections 4.1-4.4)
                         Day 2 - Similar Triangles (sections 5.1-5.4)
Week of 11/19: Day 1 - Similar Triangles (sections 5.5-5.7)
                          Day 2 - Right Triangles (section 6.1-6.4)

Additional topics will be added to the list above as the course progresses.

Supply List
Each student must have either a physical or digital copy of The Art of Problem Solving: Introduction to Geometry by Richard Rusczyk.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
