In this class, learners will review and strengthen their pre-algebra skills. Arithmetic skills, such as operations with fractions and decimals, will be reviewed in the lessons as those types of numbers are used within problems. I am a certified secondary mathematics teacher with experience teaching all math courses from pre-algebra through calculus. I have also tutored individual students ranging from elementary school through college for many years. So, I know the common misconceptions students develop on math concepts and structure my lessons to help students avoid those mistakes.

Students should be have had prior instruction in operations with integers, decimals, and fractions, as well as basic graphing skills.
Paper, pencil, and calculator. Graph paper will be needed for the last week of class.
