Description
Class Experience
Next Generation Standard: 4-LS1-1. Construct an argument that plants and animals have internal and external structures that function to support survival, growth, and/ or behavior. Standards: RI.2.1 Ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why, and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text/ lesson 2-LS4-1. Make observations of animals to compare the diversity of life in different habitats
paper, pencil/pen/marker if the student would like to participate in trying to draw an anaconda
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
While no formal assessment is given, students will be asked to write/type/ or verbally summarize what they have learned at the end of class. This summary will be used to communicate with parents. Frequent checks for understanding through individual questions and group conversations will also serve as informal assessments.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
