Class Experience
In this ongoing course, students will practice informative writing three times a week. The classes do not build upon each other so students can join the class anytime. During each class, students will brainstorm with a graphic organizer and will write an informational paragraph. The informative paragraph will include a topic sentence, three facts, supporting details, and a conclusion. This class is designed to give students time to practice their writing. I have been a teacher for the last 13 years. In order to improve writing skills, students need time to practice writing. This class provides students with time to practice their writing as well as teaches them how to organize a paragraph.
If students do not complete their writing during our class time, they may finish their writing after class.
Students will need the following materials for each class: - Graphic Organizer (This will be posted in our classroom before each class.) - Pencil - Notebook or Writing Paper
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
