In this ongoing course, students will be shown a well-written paragraph. They will use this mentor paragraph to learn about a grammar skill and will apply the skill when they write their own quality paragraph.

In this ongoing class, students will learn one grammar concept per class and will learn to write a well-written paragraph. Students will write simple and compound sentences in this class. This class meets once a week. In this class, students will analyze a well-written paragraph. They will identify the grammar concepts in the paragraph, the structure of the paragraph, and the style of the paragraph. Students will use this paragraph as an example and will write their own well-written paragraph.
I have taught in an elementary school for fourteen years. Many students struggle to write a good quality paragraph. It is important that students understand how to write great paragraphs so they can continue progressing in their writing skills. This class uses a research-based strategy to help students learn how to write a great paragraph.
