Individualized Reading & Writing Tutoring

In our tutoring sessions I will work with your child to build the skills they need to become strong readers and writers. The first session will be an interview and diagnostic assessment so I that my learn about your child; their interests and where we will need to focus our time. Based on that first session I will develop an individualized learning path for your child. 

In reading this could include; building phonological awareness, word decoding skills, sight recognition fluency, vocabulary, understanding language structures, verbal reasoning, and literacy knowledge. 

In writing this could include; using and understanding writing conventions, writing sentences, paragraphs, and multi-paragraph essays.
