Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 4
Beginner - Advanced Level
1)What will be taught? I will be working with students on reading and writing skills. One on one tutoring is a great way to get extra help.
2) What topics will I cover? Student will read a book, learn vocabulary, answer comprehension questions, and write a short story with the help of the teacher guiding their ideas and sparking imagination. I will focus on what each student needs at the parents request. I will also ask what interests the child has and find content that fits the interest of the child.
I am a prior first grade teacher so I have experience teaching students to read. We will work on phonics skills and story elements, and also work on writing a short story.
(Important) How books are chosen: It is important to note that books selected in class are based on your child’s reading level. They are selected from Reading A-Z and are picked to be age appropriate, inclusive of all genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds. The books that are used in class are inclusive of multiple perspectives. They also no include any vulgar language or violence.
3) Any required knowledge that the student needs to know? There is no prior knowledge that the student needs to know. All academic levels are welcome:)
