This class will teach you the basics of braiding. We will begin by practicing the simple, 3 strand braid with ribbon/string. After confirming mastery of this skill, we will learn to do this with our own hair. If you have a wig, barbie doll, or sister you wish to do this with, you may use it but you will also need to practice on yourself. Each student will be braiding their own hair individually. This lesson will be guided by the teacher. As the students learn and practice, they will receive immediate feedback and can also ask questions before, during, and after the demonstration. Hair type will not affect the braiding process as long as the student is comfortable and confident managing their own hair. Students' hair can be straight, curly, shoulder length, or waist length.

-3 strands of ribbon/string -mini elastic hair bands/ties or regular size hair ties -brush/comb -mirror/vanity -hand mirror
