Class Experience

In this class, students will be able to play games and socialize as they make new friends. This class is for students who are homeschooled and want to socialize with students from a similar background. I was homeschooled my whole life, and I always enjoyed making friends with other homeschoolers!

Each week we'll start with some conversation (I'll ask about students' days, and then students will be able to talk about anything they like). I will use discussion questions to guide students if they need discussion material. If the group is larger, students may have a breakout room discussion (closely monitored by myself to ensure appropriate behavior).

We will then have the option to play a game if the students want to (depending on the group) and if we have time. Our games will rotate, and I may add others if I find some that will work well in an online setting.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, my name is Jordan, and I love teaching the French language! I've been working with kids for 5 years through tutoring and babysitting. I believe in making classes fun, engaging, and informative while promoting learning based on each individual's needs.

I have been studying the Frenchlanguage for 9 years now, from French 1 - French 5 as well as 4 years of immersion French classes. I am conversationally fluent and at a B2 level. I have tutored French immersion from May 2020 through August 2020 when the French immersion school near us closed for quarantine, and I've been teaching French online for three years.

I also continue to take French lessons with native speakers, and I am working towards my Bachelors in French, which includes classes in advanced French immersion, French literature, and French education. I attended a 7-week summer French immersion camp through Middlebury College.

I also have my certification in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), the principles from which I apply to my French classes.

I'm excited to meet you and your learner and help them reach their potential!
