This ongoing homeschool art class is perfect for families who desire their children to have fun, dedicated art time without worrying about teaching the class themselves. Each week we will create a different project. In addition, students are encouraged to inject their creativity. Each month we will create THREE art projects. The projects are created in the order listed. If there is a change to the schedule, I will announce it in the classroom. If I cancel due to illness, I will refund you versus adding another meeting time. Check out the full schedule by clicking on "show schedule" above for each class section. Check back for open spots if there is no option to enroll. Homeschool Art meets from SEPTEMBER through MAY. We have at least one week off each month. *Enrolled learners will remain enrolled during the breaks without being charged unless unsubscribed. Art projects are listed in the classroom and updated each month. Some projects we've created are a watercolor lighthouse, an acrylic landscape, and birds using markers. We primarily use watercolor, pastels, markers, and colored pencils for our projects. UPCOMING PROJECTS: September 28: Zentangle Supplies: Sketchbook or blank drawing paper, a pencil, and a black marker or pen. October 12: Sunset Supplies: Sketchbook or blank drawing paper, pastels or colored pencils, and a pencil October 26: Colorful City Supplies: Sketchbook or blank drawing paper, oil pastels or crayons, and a pencil This class is for budding artists who aren't afraid of getting a little messy and know that art isn't about making a replica of the teacher's piece.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Homeschool Art was the first class I offered on Outschool. I taught my first class in February 2016. Over the years, I have several returning learners, which means I try to make sure our projects are fresh. This also keeps me from becoming too comfortable in my lessons.
My teaching career did not start online. I have taught art to children in every community I have lived in as an adult. I enjoy creating art independently, and I know that having an art teacher who encourages is an important factor when trying your hand at new techniques. I encourage my students to do their best AND to include their flair in their projects.
