In this semester-long course, learners will cover topics covered in a Art 1 class in a school. We will learn about the Elements of Art while creating artwork. Subject matter of art projects will vary, and may change based on the interests of the learners in the class. *Students will learn the Elements of Art and practice using them effectively. *Students will learn the Principles of Design and practice using them effectively. *Students will create seven artworks using various art media.
Homework Offered
*Learners will be expected to spend approximately one hour outside of class each week working on their art projects.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will self-assess their work verbally with the teacher. We will focus on constructive criticism, how to self-assess, and being resilient in art-making. Rubrics will be provided for self-assessment.Grades Offered
