Hands-On Math - Division

In this ongoing course, students will practice both single and double digit long division problems. The difficulty level will be based upon the learners who are attending each session. 

IMPORTANT: Over the summer, I will be revamping my course offerings and plan to only teach FLEX classes through OS next school year. I will be spending my time homeschooling a high school aged daughter, and this is new terrain for me. After my daughter graduates (or if she decides to return to a brick and mortar school at some point), I will once again offer live classes on OS.

Each session will be the same:

Each class will start with a welcome and brief introductions.

Next, I will demonstrate a division problem using either the Montessori Division Board or Stamp Game. If there are students who do not have Montessori materials, I will demonstrate using drawings on the virtual whiteboard (drawings will represent the Montessori materials).

Finally, students will have a chance to solve problems using their own materials or on the virtual whiteboard. Guided help will be offered when necessary.

When requested, students will be given follow-up problems and will be encouraged to solve those problems on paper, using drawings like we did on the Zoom whiteboard, or using tokens (see supply list).
