In this 4-week Gymnastics on the GO Course. Boys and girls will gain strength and flexibility while learning new skills and improving their gymnastics skills.

Class Experience

This class is welcomed to both boys and girls! We will be learning stretching, conditioning, and basic, beginner gymnastics skills.  This class is welcomed to all gymnast, no prior knowledge is required.  Coordination, confidence, strength and conditioning along with practicing our flexibility, and of course all the memories are among the list of gifts you can give your child when you enroll them in gymnastics!  With my classes, you can introduce and practice skills from your very own home, and help create a foundation your child can take with them to any sport! 
 Please practice gymnastics in a safe space with no obstacles in the way. (coffee tables, breakable valuables, etc.)  Also, provide a soft area (gymnastics mat, yoga mat, carpet) for your gymnast to practice on.

Here is how the class will go.

Week 1:  The first week we will work on both front roll and back roll, handstand, bridges, cartwheel and round offs.  In the video coach Whitney will be demonstrating with her assistant all these movements while you follow along.  After students watches the video, they will upload a video of them doing the skills they learned in class that day. They will be able to upload their video by the end of the day on Saturday of every week. I  will provide feedback for each video summited.  We will also be doing a conditioning video submission as extra credit. If the student turns in a conditioning video by Saturday along side of their gymnastic video they will receive a special gymnastics badge with their name on it. At the end of the 4 weeks each student that completes all the videos and extra credit they will be receiving a printable certificate with their name on it saying they finished the course and will be invited to our next level class.

Week 2:  The second week we will work on both side cartwheel, one handed cartwheels handstands and round offs.  In the video coach Whitney will be demonstrating with her assistant all these movements while you follow along. In the video coach Whitney will be demonstrating with her assistant all these movements while you follow along. They will be able to upload their video by the end of the day on Saturday of every week. I  will provide feedback for each video summited.  We will also be doing a conditioning video submission as extra credit. Students should practice gymnastics in a safe environment away from breakables.  Students should have a soft area like a gymnastics mat, yoga mat, and lots of pillows.  If possible please provide an empty wall for students to practice handstands on in weeks 3 and 4.

Safety and privacy are top priorities. Whenever students are involved in a physical fitness routine, I also advise parents of any potential hazards (including, but not limited to, needing an open workout space, proper footwear, a water bottle if needed, and adequate stretching beforehand) as well as injuries that can occur if not properly supervised.
Supply List
