Students will learn the most common diseases and health problems in guinea pigs and the symptoms associated with these illnesses.
I have over 30 years of experience with animals to include 6 years of experience with exotic animals.
*Please bring your guinea pig(s) favorite food to class (carrots, cucumber, romain lettuce, etc) as this will help keep the guinea pig calm and occupied during the health check.*
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
As animals can be unpredictable, it is recommended if a student brings a guinea pig to class they have parental monitoring close by in the event the guinea pig gets frightened. Parents, please note the words "poop" and "pee" will be used in this class as it is an important part of identifying the overall health of the guinea pig such as identifying illnesses. There may be images shown in class and descriptions on how to properly sex the guinea pig (finding out if it's a girl or boy). The teacher will always be sensitive and avoid being overly detailed in descriptions.
