Taught by a certified Health Education Specialist, this ongoing course is designed to give learners a basic understanding of the human body through weekly topics and discussions. Due to the fact that this is an ongoing course, students can join in at any time for topics they are interested in. The course schedule will include the following: August 29th-Body Systems. Students will learn the 3 major body systems (skeletal, muscular, and integumentary system) and what each system does....

Students will be given optional homework after each class.
Students will be given a supply list prior to each week.
Learners' knowledge will be assessed throughout the course using entry/exit tickets, discussions, and projects.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
No account will be needed for Nearpod. For the nutrition units, students will use basic cooking utensils and a stove. Parent supervision during this time is required. For the physical activity units, students will need an open space, proper footwear, a water bottle, and parent supervision.
