***Summer Slide discount - $8 OFF for those who pay entire class upfront*** This class will focus on a different grade 3 non fiction text each time it meets. Learners will take turns reading aloud the text and then we will summarize together. I will ask questions for learners to answer based on the text and their own personal knowledge. Learners will be encouraged to make connections to the text in order to make it meaningful. We will end with a written portion which learners are able to share, if they choose, to the group. Week 1 - Summer Week 2 - Sports Week 3 - Camping Week 4 - Pets Week 5 - Space Week 6 - Hobbies Learners will be able to create a binder with the class printout each week, as well as their own written portion to have a collection at the end of the 4 week course. I modify based on individual learning needs and styles. Learners have the option to skip the written portion if they choose, I just ask that parents let me know ahead of time in a private message. This class has the opportunity to see student growth as well as allows them to make connections within our small group.

Reading comprehension, summarizing and communication skills will be emphasized.
