US Grade Kindergarten - 3
This class is all about Healthy Eating and the different food groups. Class will begin with introductions and a short story about healthy eating - "Why We Eat Healthy Foods" by Rosalyn Clark We will work on a food sorting activity together and talk about the importance of each group, as well as how to get foods in each category each day. Students will have plenty of opportunity to share their knowledge and thoughts as we work through the class together. This is a social class that discusses healthy eating in a fun, hands on way.

I am an Ontario certified Teacher with 10 years of classroom experience in the public school setting, and over 20 years of experience in various childcare settings.
I am qualified to teach Science, Math, Language Arts and Social Studies - with an additional qualification, and specialization in Kindergarten.
I believe in providing young learners with the opportunity to make connections between the material being taught and their own lived experiences.
I focus on Empathy and Emotional Intelligence in my lessons and provide well rounded classes (academic + creativity + social)
I am passionate about learner development - and my own University experience which has a strong focus on social and academic development is evident in all of my classes.
