My goal is to create a meaningful, comfortable, social learning environment where students discuss interesting topics and connect with each other. This class is discussion-based to help students build speaking and listening skills. Students will compare and contrast players and teams, analyze statistics, and discuss the current happenings in the NFL. We will watch highlights, view standings and league leaders, debate power rankings, and more. Students will build communication skills while having fun and making friends! Here are some examples of discussion topics: Who is the best player in the NFL? Which teams are most ready for a championship run this season? Is Tom Brady the best quarterback ever? Which is more important, a good defensive line or a good offensive line? Students will have plenty of opportunities to share their input and listen to others. It is strongly recommended that students have an intermediate or advanced knowledge of football and the current NFL.
