Does your learner love fantasy football? Would you like them to be a part of a welcoming community to discuss different player trends, trade/waiver-wire options, and have general lively, friendly discussions about their teams with a group of their peers? Even with the NFL offseason in full swing, there is plenty to talk about in the world of fantasy football! This is a regular, on-going club setting that allows learners to openly discuss their opinions, experiences, and predictions to hopefully get them to the same important goal - to win their league! This club will focus on engaging all individuals as much as they would like and providing a safe space for people to ask a few questions, give a few responses, and talk openly about some of the 'big moves' of the week in the world of the NFL. I will start each week by highlighting the big news of the previous week and asking for feedback on each learner's team (during the regular season) and decisions that were made on their prior week's performance. During the offseason months, we will focus on upcoming player and team projections and rankings and how they will be affected by specific league-wide events (e.g. free agency, the NFL draft). We'll also talk plenty of draft strategy/team management and participate in some mock drafts to assess different angles learners can choose to take for the upcoming fantasy season. I will facilitate discussions making sure to incorporate all learners that wish to comment, and provide any helpful feedback regarding risks and benefits of different decisions for the upcoming week's games. My intent is not to force my opinion on the learners, but rather facilitate lively interactions among them to get everyone excited and engaged with each others' teams. This club will encourage teamwork, introduce critical thinking techniques, and with my guidance, allow them to work with each other to ask crucial questions and lead helpful conversations (with adequate time for each learner's team) about the issues that are most pressing to their league.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been an avid NFL fan for 25 years (Go Pack Go!) and have been playing, commissioning, and analyzing different analytical strategies related to fantasy football for the past 15 years. I currently am a contributing writer for a popular sports website where I analyze weekly fantasy football topics and trends. I am also a published author of a book on how to play fantasy football and the different strategies needed for a successful season.
My love for the game stems from the lively interaction I had growing up with my dad and brother which has flourished into group hangouts, league discussion boards, and watch events with friends and family members every Sunday afternoon.
Fantasy football is a passion of mine, along with many others out there; but the connections and friendships that can be built from the analysis and general discussion of the game is what holds fantasy football in a large part of my heart. Having been a science educator and a coach for the past 14 years has given me the amazing opportunity to have students learn, do, and discuss many different types of skills to help them improve their knowledge, and more importantly, their joy for a topic. I am excited to do that with your learners with this weekly fantasy football club!
