2-4 hours per week. Students are expected to practice on a regular basis between lessons to ensure success and progression. If assignments/practice is not complete the lesson will be reviewed rather than progressing through new material.Class Experience
Students find more success when the education is tailored to their skills and abilities. The most successful music lesson happen when there is the ability to have one-on-one interaction. Each lesson and curriculum will be custom designed and progressed to match the individual student. In this class we work for 45 minutes together each class. This provides more time for intensive work on longer pieces, theory work, and historical discussions. 30 minute private classes are also offered for beginners. Upon registration the teacher will reach out to ask about previous experience and performances to properly prepare for your lesson. Please ensure to visit the classroom to respond. Students and parents will be asked to create goals for the lessons that may be changed as the student progresses throughout the course. New books and sheet music may be required for purchase and printing throughout the course. Please ensure your student has a pencil near their instrument to be able to quickly write in notes. Private lessons are available on beginner to intermediate piano, beginner to advanced flute, and piccolo, but as a band teacher, Michelle is certified to teach many other instruments so please inquire if you are looking to progress or learn on another instrument. Please message the teacher to arrange a different lesson time than listed below, (include your time zone please!) and for any questions. Students are expected to practice on a regular basis between lessons to ensure success and progression. If assignments/practice is not complete the lesson will be reviewed rather than progressing through new material.
