Assignments
2-4 hours per week. Students will advance more quickly the more they practice at home! Students will be given music to work on between classes and will be expected to practice the flute at least 4 times per week between classes.Assessment
Students will receive feedback on their progress and playing every class. If a family requests a grade to be given for homeschool purposes, that may be arranged.Class Experience
US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner - Advanced Level
Flute lessons will be tailored to each student depending on their experience level and understanding of music. Beginners to advanced students are all welcome. Flute students will work on learning and improving tone, range of notes, and techniques to advance playing from beginning levels to advanced. Students will also learn how to read music and music theory in relationship to flute playing. Students will need to have their own flute to play at home and will be asked to purchase music to work on at home, including a method book and possibly more advanced solos etc. depending on their playing level.

Students must have a flute to practice with during lessons and at home.

Flute, music stand, pencil, flute music.
