Class Experience
This class will be customized for each student. Lessons will cover music reading and theory, flute tone, technique and flute literature. Beginning students will use a method book and will transition to scales, etudes and solos. Due to copyright laws, you will be asked to purchase music but I do my best to keep costs down. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Florida State University. I have been teaching in schools, co-ops and privately for 20 years. I have experience teaching students from beginner level all the way to admission to music schools and would love to work with you!

Frequency: includedFeedback: includedDetails: Students will be expected to practice the flute regularly in preparation for each lesson.
Each student will provide the music that will be covered in class. I will work with the student and parent to choose music appropriate for each student. I usually use Essential Elements for Flute and Rubank Method for Flute.
Material will be discussed and chosen based on level of the student. I prefer to use books from the Essential Elements or Rubank series.
