Doot the Flute: Let's Get Started
In this one time class, learners will receive the foundational skills to be a successful flutist. We will assemble the flute, learn to hold the flute, make the initial sound, play our first notes, then disassemble and clean the instrument.

Class Experience
Students will assemble, disassemble, and clean their flute, make their first sound, and play three notes (G, A, and B)
Private flute teacher for 20 years. Taught extensively both in person and virtually. Work with several music stores to help beginning band students choose an instrument they will be successful with. Also work at several local schools teaching group flute lessons.
One page handout will be provided.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment during the class.
