Beginner - Intermediate Level
The flexible schedule (Flex Class) allows your learners to watch the pre-recorded videos and do them at a time that is FUN for them! You can also spend extra time on the topics your child is most interested in. Since this is a flex class with no live meetings, students can log in at a convenient time to complete the week's lesson. We will be going through each week as a group and I will post the lesson weekly (depending on which day you started). In each section, I will teach different bubble tricks and tools in each of the four videos. I will show all the required information needed to understand the best way to perform the bubble tricks and make the tools. After learning each bubble trick, the student will then film themselves performing the tricks for the homework, which will be sent back weekly. These videos will then be commented on by the teacher and used in a discussion for the group. After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps to make their show even better. The students will then share their videos/projects for the other students to watch and comment on. This will allow the learners to help each other and share ideas and thoughts about each show. Sharing these projects will allow other students to learn from each other. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Class 1 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Students learn how to make the perfect bubble juice using a secret recipe that is easy to make and play with using household materials. We will then move on to the basic bubble tricks such as hand bubbles ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Class 2 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Building basic bubble tools ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Class 3 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Building intermediate and advanced bubble tools. Intermediate bubble tricks taught will include bubble carousels, mother bubbles (bubbles within bubbles) and many more. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Class 4 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ How to create a bubble show with music using the bubble props made in the previous classes. In these classes, we will cover everything you could possibly imagine doing with bubbles and much more. Each lesson will begin with the basics/review of the basics and build on skills from there. Time-frame for the Week: Saturday - The teacher will post the video for the week. Sunday - The teacher can answer any questions from the students regarding the tricks in that week's lesson. The students will need to complete the homework and submit the video. Wednesday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom. Thursday - I will provide feedback to the students about the homework. Students will also be able to take part in a student to student comments and review the tricks they learn and video to be able to discuss how they best perform them with each other. Friday - I will be available for questions and feedback. No required experience or knowledge is needed by the learners. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Explosive Learning Teachers ▬▬▬▬▬▬ This class is currently being taught by Jo Reynolds. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Schedule Requests & LIVE classes ▬▬▬▬▬▬ This is the flexible version of my course, I also teach all of my classes LIVE. Supply List
Ingredients for the bubble recipe 1: 12 cups of warm water (3l) 1 cup of Dawn Original Washing up Liquid or 1 cup of Fairy Original Washing up Liquid (250ml) 1/2 cup of cornstarch (75g) 200ml Glycerine (optional) 2 teaspoons of Baking Powder (NOT Baking Soda!) Ingredients for the bubble recipe 2: 1 cup of green Fairy or Dawn Original 9 cups water 1 tbsp glycerine (optional) available from chemist. Materials needed for props: 1 large clean bucket. (A new bucket is the best as its not contaminated with anything.) 1 x mixing stick or whisk / hand blender and a mixing bowl 2 x 2 foot bamboo sticks 6 foot of thick cotton string 1 x roll of colored electrical tape (optional) used to decorate the props 2 x plastic straws 1 x wool glove like you wear on your hands in the winter. If you don't have one any fleece type material will also work so please grab a fleece top and have that ready for class. 1 x old sock or stocking 2 x small plastic soda bottle (9fl oz / 500 ml size) 1 pair scissors to cut string and soda bottle (adult supervision may be required) Old rug or newspaper 2 x hand towels or dishcloths 1 x plastic cup 1 x large mixing bowl 1 x large plate Tips: ALWAYS put the cap back on! Spilt bubbles are sad bubbles. Foam isn’t good for bubbles. so never shake a bottle of bubbles and try to get a clean dip. Remember - anything that isn't wet will pop the bubble. For little bubbles, hold the wand close to your lips. For bigger bubbles hold it, father away and blow slower. Experiment with a regular drinking straw with your wand. Hold the bubble steady with the wand and use the straw to create bubble houses and shapes. Just remember not to suck! Don't worry, you can't blow an ugly bubble! Even if you don’t have any bubble toys, you can still have great fun. Use the recipe above to make some juice, and then see what you can find in the house to make some bubbles. Try a coat hanger or the inside tube from a kitchen roll. Best of all, try your hands - dip them in your bubble juice, make an "o" shape with your thumb and first finger, and blow. This way you can touch the bubble yourself without it popping!
