Beginner - Advanced Level
Over the course of the semester, we will explore English grammar to become better writers and readers. We will cover complete sentences, punctuation, compound sentences, compound subjects, compound predicates, and common parts of speech. This is a foundational grammar course with some writing opportunities. Class begins with a discussion. Group practice guided by the teacher prepares learners for independent writing. A short writing practice will be included for after-class work. Answers will be provided for the parent.

We will identify nouns and verbs, and determine if a group of words is a complete sentence or a fragment. 45 mins online live lesson

More Complete Sentences & Pronouns
We will divide sentences into subjects and predicates and identify pronouns. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Change it to a Pronoun
We will substitute pronouns for nouns. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Compound Sentences & Conjunctions
We will identify compound sentences and conjunctions. 45 mins online live lesson

Supply List
Learners will need a composition book, a pencil, and a good eraser. Printouts will be required on occasion.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
