In this ongoing grammar class, we will focus on a different aspect of English grammar each week. During each class, learners will familiarise themselves with the rules, and then begin to put it into practice through activities, worksheets, and games. Learners will use the grammar in both speaking and writing during each class. There will be a worksheet to accompany each class to help to reinforce the grammar. It will be helpful for learners to come to class with these printed out. What will we learn? Week of 14/4/25 - Present simple Week of 21/4/25 - Present continuous; Present continuous or present simple? Week of 28/4/25 - Past simple Week of 5/5/25 - Present continuous for future plans; a/an and the Week of 12/5/25 - The/to + base form for purpose Week of 19/5/25 - Adverbs of manner Week of 26/5/25 - Comparison of adjectives Week of 2/6/25 - Comparison of adjectives with more and most. Irregular comparisons Week of 9/6/25 - Expressing quantity Week of 16/6/25 - Past continuous, past continuous and past simple Week of 23/06/25 - Should for obligation and advice Week of 30/06/25 - Present perfect simple with just, already and yet Week of 07/07/25 - Present perfect simple, would like Week of 14/07/25 - One(s) for substitution, who and what as subjects Week of 21/07/25 - Present perfect with for and since, present perfect or past simple Week of 28/07/25 - Future with will, may/might for possibility Week of 4/08/2025 - -ing form as subject and object, go +ing form Week of 11/08/2025 - Relative pronouns Week of 18/08/2025 - Could and be able to for ability Week of 25/08/2025 - Shall and could for offers and suggestions Week of 01/09/2025 - Have to Week of 08/09/2025 - Prepositions of place and movement, too and enough Week of 15/09/2025 - Something, nobody etc., verbs of sensation + adjective Week of 22/09/2025 - Used to Week of 29/09/2025 - Reflexive and emphatic pronouns Week of 06/10/2025 - The passive Week of 13/10/2025 - Zero and type 1 conditionals Week of 20/10/2025 - Present perfect continuous Please do contact us with any questions.
