2nd Grade ELA and Math--Summer Review or Preview English Language Arts and Math

This class runs throughout the school year and covers the essential standards for a full year of second grade instruction. From May through August, we get ready for third grade or preview second grade. Join at any time!

In Reading, we explore fables, folktales, fairy tales, personal narratives, and informational text. Our writing will include foundational grammar skills, as well as writing personal narratives, opinion pieces, and informational text (including researching). 

In Math, we delve into addition and subtraction within 100, data and statistics, place value, measurements, number lines, and word problems.

Lessons begin with a discussion. The discussion is followed by modeling and group practice.
