Class Experience
Calling all Junior Fire Fighters! Come to class dressed as a firefighter or show off your favorite firefighter shirt. During this one time class, we will play themed games and learn about firefighters, fire trucks, and letter f. We will begin class with show and tell. Students can bring their favorite fire truck toy to share with the class. We will get the wiggles out with our fire trucks as we sing a fun movement song. Students will participate in themed activities throughout class,...
Students will learn about recognizing letter f and the sound it makes.
As a mom of three young boys and a former Kindergarten and 2nd grade teacher, I have spent a lot of time talking about and playing with fire trucks, as well as teaching the alphabet and counting.
Each student can come to class dressed in their firefighter gear. Students can also bring one fire truck to share with everyone at the beginning of class.
1 file available upon enrollment-Firefighter suit or favorite firefighter shirt (optional) -Favorite fire truck toy (Your student will get to share their fire truck with the other students and we will use their fire truck for a song. If they choose to bring a large fire truck toy to share with the class, they might also want to have a smaller one to use as a prop during the song.) -I will supply a template for an optional fire truck craft (PDF file) that can be completed before or after class with a parent. There is both a color and black/white version available. This does not need to be brought to class, but if your student makes it ahead of time, he/she is welcome to share it with everyone.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
