Class Experience

US Grade Preschool
Join anytime!

This weekly class is a small-group circle time. In this course, we will practice phonemic awareness, build number sense, read stories and practice comprehension skills aligned with the US Common Core Standards.
This class is perfect for pre-k and kindergarten learners, or 1st graders who need some review.
I use songs, chants, games, and stories to keep learners engaged and having fun! Learners will have opportunities to engage with the teacher and others through call-backs, participation in music, and hand signals. Occasional secular mention of US holidays (Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter) is included in songs and calendar patterns.
A weekly practice page will be available for download. Students may use this page for independent practice at home.
No specific previous knowledge is needed for students to join this class.
This class is a full year curriculum which restarts in September of each year, however, students can join at anytime! Each lesson is standalone and does not require attendance from previous classes. Parents are responsible for keeping track of when their child first enrolled/unenrolling from the class as it repeats if you wish.
