US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
If you are a fan of toy cars and trucks, then this is the class for you. Students will need to bring their collection of hot wheels, matchbox cars or monster trucks for this fun scavenger hunt. We will begin with introductions and show and tell. Students will need to pick out their top two favorite cars/trucks before class so they can share them with the other learners. Be ready to tell why each one is your favorite. After everyone has a chance to share, we will begin the scavenger hunt. I will give a description and students will need to find one of their cars that matches the description and hold it up for everyone to see. (Example Clue: Find a car with stripes or find a car that glows in the dark) I suggest having your collection of cars all in one spot so you can look through them quickly to find a car that matches the clue. The number of clues we are able to do will depend on how quickly students find and show each car. This class is a great way for students to interact with others and practice listening skills and descriptive words. This class requires at least 3 learners so students have a chance to interact with others. If there are not 3 enrolled learners 24 hours before class begins, then it will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund. *Please note, older students are welcome to take this class, however, it is geared more towards younger learners.*
Learning Goals
Students will improve their listening skills as they listen to descriptions and find matching cars.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education and 9 years of teaching experience. I spent three years teaching Kindergarten and six teaching 2nd grade. While I enjoyed teaching in a public school setting, I decided to become a stay at home mom to my three young boys. Now I spend my time learning along with them.
My main teaching focus is geared towards early education and lower elementary. I feel it is very beneficial to teach children to enjoy learning at a young age. This will hopefully continue with them as content becomes increasingly more difficult. In addition to teaching younger students, I also enjoy doing book studies. I have been an avid reader since I was a child and would love to bring this love of reading to others as well! My goal for teaching is make learning fun through using games, interactive activities, children's literature, and arts and crafts.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing board games, reading and going on trips (especially to Disney World)!
I look forward to meeting you soon!
