Class Experience

US Grade Preschool
Beginner Level
In this beginner's class for little learners, we will practice developmentally appropriate concepts for 3- and 4-year-olds. We'll sing songs, engage in movement activities, and play interactive games while being introduced to essential concepts such as vocabulary, letter recognition, counting, colors, shapes, and more.

To accommodate the attention spans of younger students, this class is 20 minutes long, although it may extend slightly if many students participate in the show and tell at the end. If we run over time and your child is ready to leave, they are welcome to do so.

Since this class is designed for younger students, we will focus on introducing basic concepts and adjusting to learning in a group setting. If your child already knows all the letters and numbers up to 10, this class might be too basic for them. Older students are welcome to join as a review, but please consider if this class is suitable for your child.

At the end of each class, students can participate in show and tell. Learners are encouraged to bring something special, like a toy or a craft they've made, to show everyone. They can talk about their item or simply hold it up for others to see. This activity is optional, so if they do not wish to share, they can watch others as they present their items.

We will have dedicated reading and math days. Reading days will focus on the alphabet, vocabulary, and stories, while math days will cover early math concepts like counting, numbers, shapes, and more. At the beginning of each class, we'll have a brief calendar time to discuss feelings, the weather, and the month and day of the week. This will be a simplified version of a typical preschool calendar time due to the young age of the learners.

In addition to live classes, students will be provided with optional handouts to complete during the week. Handwriting will not be formally taught; however, some worksheets will contain handwriting practice for students who wish to work on this skill.
