Let's go on a mermaid ballet adventure! We will read Fancy Nancy's The Mermaid Ballet and then learn some basic ballet moves that we see in our story!

During this one-time class, learners will go on a Mermaid Adventure! We will read the book "Fancy Nancy's The Mermaid Ballet" by Jane O'Connor. Following our story, we will go back through and learn the ballet moves that Nancy learns plus more! We will learn a very simple ballet routine to a song called "The Mermaid Ballet" where we will do our plies, releves, tendus, posses, and more! If time allows, we will play a fun game of Mermaid Freeze Dance! Join us for a fun Mermaid story and Dance!

Parental Guidance
It is important that the dancers have enough space to be able to move. it is also important for the dancers to inform me of any injuries or physical restrictions. Have a water nearby and wear comfortable clothing.

I teach Movement classes in studio and online as well! I have been teaching dance for 15+ years to all ages (18months - adult) as well as Fitness classes to kids and adults. Dance has been a major part of my life for 32 years and I love bringing that passion to others. I've worked with young and old, special needs, low-impact or injured, wheel-chair bound, and all others!
I believe that Dance/Movement is a rare "sport" that is all-inclusive; gross and fine motor skills, spatial awareness, emotionally stimulating, builds self-confidence, improves discipline & listening skills, and much more.
My family consists of my super supportive husband, my oldest daughter (8) youngest daughter (6), and then the littlest one is 3years old, but he was born 3-1/2 months early. We spent a significant amount of time in the NICU in the city we live in and are forever grateful for modern medicine! Our life has been a rollercoaster and, as crazy as this sounds, I wouldn't have it any other way... mostly. haha!
Being a mama myself, I try to be flexible with my schedule and appreciate the understanding from parents as I navigate our medically complex son's needs as well as two active girls!
