The learning goals for this course will be to teach the student about the F/A 18 air to air and air to ground attack fighter, the historic significance in the Cold-War, technological avionics advances, facts about the aircraft, and how the aircraft was used around the world. The focus will be on both scientific and historic facts about this advanced fourth generation fighter aircraft and how it served multiple allied nations in combat during different conflicts. The learning goals will be to inform, teach, and engage the student in facts about the F/A 18 Hornet and discussion of the capabilities of this Navy aircraft.
The instructor has over 20 years in the military providing weather support to many different aircraft. Loves teaching about military aircraft and has a strong science and military background.

There is a video that shows simulated violence in a video at the end of the class. It is a simulated air attack and not a real one portraying a historic event of a shoot down with the F/A 18 aircraft. There is a short YouTube video in this class and you do not need a separate login for this video.
