Welcome to Flight Sim Club, a weekly meetup for young aviation enthusiasts who want to learn, fly, and explore the skies—no flight simulator required! Whether your learner is already flying virtual missions at home or just dreams of becoming a pilot someday, this club is the perfect place to build skills, ask questions, and make friends who love airplanes. Each week, we'll focus on a new aviation topic or flying maneuver inspired by real pilot training, like steep turns, crosswind landings, or emergency procedures. Students with flight simulators can try out the techniques in real-time, while others can observe, ask questions, and participate in our discussions and activities. This club is all about fun, community, and growing confidence in aviation knowledge—no pressure, no grades, just engaging learning and shared passion for flight.
Learning Goals
Learn how pilots manage aircraft controls to perform specific maneuvers, enhancing their comprehension of flight dynamics.
Engage in exercises such as takeoffs, landings, and in-flight turns, either through simulation or guided observation.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I hold a Commercial Pilot License with single- and multi-engine ratings, an Instrument Rating, and certifications as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI). I have real-world experience flying and teaching the very maneuvers and procedures we explore in this club.
Before aviation, I earned a degree in music and taught private guitar and composition lessons for many years. I've worked with students from elementary through high school and always strive to make complex topics approachable, engaging, and fun. I love combining my passion for flying with my love of teaching to create a welcoming space where kids feel inspired to explore the skies—whether they're already flying in simulators or just starting their aviation journey.
In addition to my aviation work, I have designed multiple youth classes that blend STEM, storytelling, and interactive learning. I’m a lifelong learner myself and love helping students connect what they’re learning to the real world.
